My Hero

My hero is Bill Nye the Science Guy. Bill Nye helps kids like me learn science and is very goofy. Bill Nye is an old man now but that is ok he is still awesome. One reason why I admire him is because he’s really smart. He makes so many videos on doing science and teaching people like me. Another reason why I admire Bill is because he has the best theme song ever! If you go on YouTube and look up Bill Nye the Science Guy theme song it will pop up. His theme song has the most fire beat you’ll ever hear. The last reason why Bill is my Idol is because he never wants to hurt kids. He always says in his video to not try it at home if it’s a dangerous experiment. That is why my hero is Bill Nye the Science Guy.

Rad Reading – December

This month, I read the book Harry Potter and the Half-Blood prince. In this book, a boy named Harry Potter must fend for himself and his friends as the war between the Order of the Phoenix vs the Death Eaters starts. Harry Potter must go to his school Hogwarts to do his 6th year. Harry thinks that a fellow student is being really suspicious and try’s to figure out what he’s been doing. Harry’s friends don’t agree the the fellow student is up to something but that doesn’t stop Harry.

This book is full of action and suspense and I have read it multiple times. There are some books that you can always tell whats gonna happen, but I never know when I read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

My favorite character is Rubeus Hagrid. Hagrid is an amazing person because he doesn’t judge people by what they look like. A quote that proves this is “Seriously misunderstood creatures, spiders are. It’s the eyes, I reckon, they unnerve some folk.” It proves it because most people are scared of spiders because they look scary but Hagrid is friends with them because their nice, not because he thinks their pretty.

My favorite quote is “It is the unknown we fear when we look upon death and darkness, nothing more.” because it’s so true. We usually are afraid of things because we don’t know or understand them.

The word of 2023

This year I’m going to be working on achieving things more. One thing I want to achieve is getting better at basketball. I should practice more basketball at my house to achieve better shots. I also would like to achieve better test scores in math. I do have a good grade in math but I haven’t got an A+ yet. I want to study more to achieve better test scores. I also want to achieve reading 100 chapter books this year. I will make sure to mark every time I finish a book and read until I get 100 books finished.

The Big Boss

I would love to be principal for the day. If I was principal of my Middle School I would change many things. One thing I would change is the rule that we can’t wear hats. I would do that because at my old school they met us wear hats during class and it was way better. Another thing I would change is the rule that we can’t run. I know it may be dangerous if we hit into each other, but if the one minute bell goes off we have to get to class fast. For example, if I went to use the bathroom and I didn’t know how long the passing period was, I’d be doomed. The third thing I would change is I would make all the periods five seconds long. I would do that so all the kids would only be at school for thirty-five seconds. Another thing I would do is I would make this school end forever! I would do this because school sucks. The last thing I would do is I would make the school lunches be actual food. I would buy chipotle burritos for the whole school. I would do that because the school food sucks!

Rad Reading – November

This month I read the book “The Midnight Children” by Dan Gemeinhart. This book is about a boy named Ravani. He had no friends and lived a sad and lonely life. When one night he looked out his window and saw 7 children walking out of a truck. He was bewildered by this mysterious appearance of a bunch of kids going to this old abandoned house in the middle of the night. Ravani went to investigate the house. Thats hen one day he finally got to meet one of the kids. The girls name was Virginia. Ravani and Virginia became comrades and they had tons of fun together. All the while a man was hunting them because they were supposed to be in an orphanage. A bully named Donnie was ruining Ravani life but Virginia helped him conquer Donnie. The hunter finds his way to Virginia and her siblings and try to capture them. Does he capture them? If you want to find out, go read “The Midnight Children!” Something awesome about this book that I loved was the change in Ravani’s personality. Ravani went from a lonely loser, to an amazing friend.

My favorite character was Colt. He was my favorite because of how funny and optimistic he was. One of his character traits is being friendly. Right when Colt met Ravani he was nice to him. A quote that proves this is “”Howdy. My name is Mr.Amazing…but you can just call me Amazing.”” This quote shows that Colt has friendly and nice personality.

My favorite quote is “”No,” she said, low but strong and sure. “I am not trash. I am gold.” This is my favorite quote because you get to choose who you are, not others.

The Kangorilla

The Kangaroo has always dreamed of being a Gorilla one day. When suddenly he has the urge to just pound his chest in the middle of and open field! “Aaaaaaaggggggggghhhhhhhhh!” The Kangaroo screamed. From this day on, the Kangaroo now calls himself the Kangorilla. He went on a journey to find some gorillas to live with. When he suddenly found some. “May I live with you?” The Kangorilla asks. “Of course. But you must live by the gorilla way.” The Kangorilla followed all of their rules, ate bananas, and lived a happy life with gorillas.

Thank You

This year I am thankful for many things. One thing I’m grateful for is my family. I’m thankful for my family because they are always lifting me up and encouraging me. Another thing I am thankful for is my friends because I love hanging out with them and my friends are always nice to me and helping me when I have problems. One more thing I am grateful for is weekends. I love weekends because I’m able to sleep in, I’m able to stay up late, and I don’ have to go to school. Those are three things I am thankful for.

Three Wishes

A genie has gifted me three wishes. For my first wish, I would want Money. I want money because I am poor. I only have 4 dollars and 1 cent. I NEED MONEY! For my second wish, I would have a real life lightsaber. I want this because I think it would be cool to have one. My third and final wish would be to go to Morocco and see my Grandpa and Grandma. I haven’t seen them in a long time and I think it would be awesome to go and see them again.

Rad Reading-October

This month I read the book “The False Prince” by “Jennifer A. Nielsen”. This book is about an orphan boy named Sage who gets bought by this rich guy named Conner. Conner buys four boys for a secret plan he’s making. One of the boys wants to leave so Conner orders him to be killed. Now theres only three boys. These boys will be competing in a challenge to see who’s worthy enough to be in Conners secret plan. Many things happen to sage along the way of trying to be chosen. He also meets many people along the way. Friend or foe? You can never be sure who you can trust.

I loved how many surprises there were in this book. There were so many things that happened that I wasn’t expecting. For example, I expected Sage to be way better than Roden at sword fighting, but Roden was almost an equal to Sage.

My favorite character was Mott. Mott was Conners very trusting servant. Even though Mott was mean to Sage, right when he found out Sages big secret he was immediately loyal to him. One character trait that Mott has is kindness. A quote that proves this is “…Conner grabbed me around the neck, where he held me while Mott tied my hands. I noticed he gave me a little slack on my wrists…”. It shows that even though Mott was forced to tie up Sage, he still didn’t want to hurt him that bad.

My favorite quote from this book is “With a tilt of his head, Conner said, “Everything is a test.”” This is my favorite quote because it shows that no matter what you do, everything can be taken as being a test.

Myself

If I could switch lives with one person, it would be no one. I think that I am perfect just being myself. I don’t want to be super rich or famous. I just want to be me. Sometimes I may wish I had something I wanted but I would still want to be me. I think that I am the best person I could be and that I don’t have to be someone else to be happy. Sometimes I wish you could do things that other people do but I am me and I’m the best me I could be. There are many things that are bad qualities in different people and I wouldn’t want to have all of those bad qualities.
